Graphic contests have confirmed, more than once, that among the users of GRY-Online there hide talented artists who possessed an original approach. In cooperation with Ubisoft Polska, we prepared a competition characterized by a fairly low entry threshold, which allowed us to collect a large gallery of various works.
The contest task was to prepare a graphic leaflet encouraging to join the cult of the “Gate of Eden” that is strongly visible in the game. Participants could prepare a traditional collage, any remake of a classic leaflet or surprise us with a completely new, unconventional approach to the subject. We’ve prepared three tiers of prize packages for the winners: unique gadgets straight from the new Ubisoft production (survival backpacks, t-shirts, trucker caps, metal bear-shaped beer openers and beer bases). The main prize was Sony PlayStation 4 Pro. In total, we awarded 20 contestants.
Main site was enriched with video made by TVGRY.pl team, speaking about the genesis of splits and religious wars in the United States, which inspired the cult of the “Gate of Eden” from Far Cry 5. The film gained professional scientific approach thanks to the presence of the invited Ph.D Paulina Napierała (Jagiellonian University, Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora), who shared her knowledge on the topic. Thanks to solid and unusual analysis of the sociological aspect of the game, the material received a very positive feedback among the viewers.
The whole event gathered a gallery of interesting and ambitious works by talented graphic designers, who tackled the subject remarkably. Client can use these works and high-quality video material for further promotion.
